Head of Supply Chain

Leading Contracting Company – Iraq

We are looking for an experienced Head of Supply Chain to lead and optimize the company’s supply chain operations across major construction and intrastructure projects.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement the company’s Supply Chain strategy in line with project requirements and business objectives.
Oversee the end-to-end supply chain process, including procurement, material planning, inventory, warehousing, logistics, transportation, and project delivery.
Coordinate with Projects, Engineering, Procurement, Finance, and Warehouse teams to ensure the timely availability of materials and resources.
Develop effective material planning and supply forecasting based on project schedules and requirements.
Monitor inventory levels, stock movements, replenishment requirements, and material availability across projects.
Optimize transportation and logistics operations to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery to project sites.
Establish and maintain effective relationships with suppliers, logistics providers, and other supply chain partners.
Monitor supplier performance, lead times, delivery schedules, and service levels.
Identify opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and supply chain efficiency.
Establish supply chain KPIS, controls, reporting systems, and performance standards.
Identify potential supply risks and develop appropriate

contingency and risk-management plans to maintain project continuity.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
15+ years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement, or related functions.
Strong experience in construction, contracting, infrastructure, EPC, industrial, or related sectors.
Proven experience managing supply chain operations across multiple projects or locations.
Strong knowledge of material planning, procurement, inventory management, warehousing, logistics, and transportation.
Strong analytical, negotiation, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Experience with ERP systems and supply chain management tools.
Excellent English communication skills.
Experience in the Iraqi market and construction sector will be an advantage.
